something new, something old

This morning, I had a sudden need for change and renewal. If I wasn't sick, I might have gone to get my hair cut, but since that avenue is closed for today because of a NC (nasty cold) that inhabits my head, I decided to change around my blog site.
Happily, I set to work. I carefully chose a new template. "New colors," I thought. "A whole new layout, with a different font type and everything. Maybe I'll post some pictures." I was excited. I brooded over which template to choose. I tried out two or three templates before going back to exactly what I had before.

Turns out I can't improve on perfection.

Or maybe I just can't handle THAT MUCH change in one morning.

Nonetheless, there are new links (since the old ones were lost in the template-switching extravaganza). Now I must get some sleep - change tires me.

Nutty

One of my recent passions is mache (there is a little roof-like acent on the 'a' - I'd put it there but I don't have the energy to go looking for special characters. Use your imagination). It's a French salad that looks a lot like spinach but tastes ohsomuch better. Like the package says, it's "sweet, nutty, spicy" - much like yours truly.

Though most of the time, I'm much more nutty than spicy.

High Heels

High Heels hurt my feet.
High Heels make me taller, make my legs skinnier, make my abs flatter and make my posture straighter.
High Heels are bad for my knees.
High Heels make me feel important and powerful.
High Heels pose a certain danger of doing faceplants.
High Heels make me walk tall.

On some days, High Heels are a must-have.
